Jack started his electrical apprenticeship in 2014. After years working hard for other people, good work but someone else's hours and someone else's rules, we decided it was time to build something of our own. In 2022 our daughter Sienna was born, and everything shifted. We looked at the life we were building and knew something had to change. Beach to Backcountry Electrical started in 2023. Remi arrived in 2024 and made our little crew complete.
The name comes from where we work and how we live. We're based in Swansea, right on the lake, where Sienna and Remi grow up with the beach on their doorstep. But Jack regularly travels out to Muswellbrook and the surrounding properties for jobs, and when he does, we all go. We pack up the caravan, load up the kids and make the trip together.
Torri's family owns a farm out that way. So while Jack is on the tools, the kids are running around with the animals, and Torri is running the business from her laptop outside the van. We block out a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday on the tools then stay on for the weekend as a family. That is where the backcountry part of our name was born, and it is exactly what this business was built for.
These days you will find us somewhere between the lake and the land, Jack with his tool belt on and the kids not far behind. We built Beach to Backcountry Electrical around our family and we run every job the same way. Jack handles every quote personally. Torri manages everything behind the scenes. You always deal with one of us directly. That is not something a bigger company can say.

⚡ The man on the tools
MEET JACK
Jack is a fully licensed electrician with over a decade in the trade. He works across residential and commercial properties, everything from ceiling fans, LED upgrades and switchboard replacements through to full rewires, new builds and commercial fitouts. If it's electrical, Jack does it.
He's also a Level 2 Accredited Service Provider on the Ausgrid network, which means he's authorised to do work most electricians can't. Consumer mains upgrades, point of attachment work, private poles, all handled directly with the network. It's a qualification not many tradies hold, and it means you don't need to call multiple contractors for complex jobs.
Jack handles every quote personally. He'll answer the phone, come out to site, and give you a straight answer on what needs doing and what it will cost. No runaround, no middleman.

MEET TORRI
Torri keeps Beach to Backcountry Electrical running. Scheduling, invoicing, paperwork, customer communication. She handles all of it so Jack can stay focused on the tools and the quotes.
Two young kids, two teaching days a week at a local high school, and an entire business to run. Torri handles it all. When you reach out to us, she is who makes sure nothing falls through the cracks and that you hear back within 30 minutes.
