Which EV charger should I get for my home?
It depends on your vehicle, how far you drive daily and your home's existing electrical setup. Level 2 AC chargers are the most common for home installation and provide a full charge overnight for most vehicles. We will assess your situation and recommend the best option when we provide your quote.
Can my existing switchboard handle an EV charger?
Most modern switchboards can but older homes may need a switchboard upgrade or consumer mains upgrade first. We check this as part of every EV charger quote at no extra charge. If an upgrade is needed we will quote on both together so you have a clear picture of the full cost upfront.
How long does a home EV charger installation take?
A standard home EV charger installation typically takes between 2 and 4 hours depending on your home's layout and where the charger will be located. If a switchboard or mains upgrade is also required this will add to the installation time.
